Brian enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1982 and began his career as a Jet Engine Mechanic. Over his 22 years in the USAF, he had the opportunity to work on F4 Phantoms and F16 Fighting Falcons. He retired as a Master Sergeant in 2004 and currently works as a Civilian Jet Engine Technician at Luke Air Force Base in Glendale, Arizona. The name “Double Ugly” stems from an unofficial nickname for the F-4 jet plane on which Brian worked for most of his life, and the Rhino is a “mascot” of sorts. From this, Brian created his idea for Double Uglyz as source for high quality mechanic work in Arizona.
Growing up in a rural Phoenix area, Brian rode dirt bikes and other ATVs and addressed the repair that comes with these toys. Brian has enjoyed riding and working on his Harley's since '86 and has serviced his own trucks and cars for his whole life. After 35 years of mechanic work with planes, cars, and motorcycles, he turned his expertise towards all terrain vehicles.
In 2014, Brian received his Associate in Applied Science - Biomedical Equipment from Brown Mackey College in Phoenix, Arizona. He enrolled in the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute soon after, earning his certificate for the Yamaha and Kawasaki programs. Brian began pursuing the creation of Double Uglyz in 2015, and is excited to provide quality service for all of Arizona's mechanic needs.
